The T1D 101 education was designed to:

Teach more advanced topics related to type 1 diabetes management.

Instruct both patients and their caregivers but places a special emphasis on patients aged 13 and older ​

Deepen patient's understanding of diabetes management as they start to transition into adulthood

Make the shift from pediatric to adult care a smoother and less stressful experience
