The University of Michigan Pediatric Diabetes Program is conducting a quality improvement project to spread the word about the Patient Portal (MyUofMHealth.org). The Patient Portal offers many features that can help you manage your child’s health and save you time.
Features of the Patient Portal
Still not convinced that the Portal is right for you? Read about some of the Portal's great features below, or ask about signing up at your next clinic visit. Remember, access to the Portal is available from your computer and smartphone - sending a blood sugar log is as easy as snapping a picture with your phone's camera.
The U-M Patient Portal offers the following features:
Upload blood sugar logs from your smartphone with just a few clicks
Send and receive messages to the Pediatric Diabetes Team
View lab results, such as A1C and other screening tests
Request prescription refills
View and pay bills
Review health records, including: allergies, immunization history, current health issues, upcoming appointments, educational materials, and insurance information
Please note: Due to privacy laws, if your child is 11-17 years old, as a parent/guardian, you can view some, but not all of your child's health information via the Patient Portal. You may request access to additional information. If you have any questions, please discuss with a member of the Pediatric Diabetes Team.
